CTAS Information
Career Transition Assistance Scheme (CTAS) funds are offered by Defence to entitled personnel who qualify based on the information in the table below. This scheme is designed to assist serving Defence personnel in their transition from Defence to a civilian career through funding for a professional CV/Resume, Career Transition Coaching and formal Courses. Basically the CTAS entitlements Defence offer are:

1 To be eligible for approval absence, at termination member must have completed initial mustering/corps/category training.
2 Member may only access CTMC or CTT - Not both (unless - see below).
For those who are discharged due to medical reasons, redundancy or a MIER you are entitled to the same elements as a person who has completed over 18 years, however you get both CTMC and CTT.
