BAE Systems is moving into a new and exciting chapter managing the complete service solution of Deeper Maintenance (DM) and Operational Maintenance (OM) for the Royal Australian Air Force's Hawk Lead in Fighters from 1 July, 2016.

As an experienced and qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer you will have the opportunity to work alongside the best in the industry and the variety and excitement working in both DM and OM on one of Australia's Fast Jets.

The work scope will encompass in-depth maintenance of aircraft and all flight line activities including:

• Launch and recovery;
• On site management support to ensure smooth running of the entire outfit; and 
• Deployment / away base operations

To secure an opportunity that will see you working on an unparalleled solution within Australia you will possess:

• Lead In Fighter (LIF) Hawk aircraft experience highly desirable  
• Fast Jet experience essential
• Aircraft maintenance engineering/trade qualifications to Certificate IV level
• Good knowledge of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations and procedures
• Strong team work focus paired with excellent problem solving skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, health and environment policies and procedures within an aeronautical environment 
• Ability to work a rotating A and B Shift and participate in deployment activities

Platform experience is highly desirable but not essential; above all we are seeking candidates who are agile, adaptable and committed to exceeding customer expectations. 
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
