BAE Systems Australia is a leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services to defence and civil aviation in Australia. To meet the needs of BAE Systems' Commercial Aircraft Maintenance Organisation, we are looking for a passionate and driven leader to join the team! The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of line maintenance activities at Sydney Airport, working closely with the team, the customer and the Maintenance Control Centre to ensure a quality service is delivered.

More specifically, you will:
• Manage all operational activities across the line environment and also across the store
• Lead a small team of aircraft engineers and provide coaching and support on a daily basis
• Advise responsible managers of any issues or changes that affect airworthiness, safety or the organisation's operational effectiveness
• Manage team rostering to ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet work requirements
• Ensure the required resources to carry out maintenance (personnel, tools, ground support equipment, expendables, consumables, facilities, external suppliers) are available
• Deliver training programs and toolbox meetings to ensure continued understanding of management systems, processes and initiatives are implemented
• Provide technical support in the preparation of work packs
• Ensure all assigned work packages are conducted in accordance with the agreed plan and the approved Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) certified processes and procedures
• Provide reports as required on aircraft maintenance activities to management
• Facilitate process improvement initiatives to continually enhance processes and procedures

As the ideal applicant you will:
• Be a certified LAME 
• Be licenced and experienced on the Airbus A320 aircraft, with full B1 coverage
• Have experience in a line maintenance environment
• Be flexible to meet business needs
• Have strong leadership experience, leading small to medium sized teams
• Have a demonstrated commitment to safety, health and environment policies and procedures within an aeronautical environment
