We are currently seeking to appoint a driven and motivated Technical Planner with Defence industry experience to join our team working on the Armidale Class Patrol Boat (ACPB) contract`s planning function and ensuring contractual KPI`s are met. This is a full time permanent role located in Sydney.
Reporting to the Planning Manager you will be responsible for:
- Delivering all planning and scheduling activities for your allocated Vessels
- Preparing and maintaining relevant documentation for the maintenance period
- Assisting in the development of schedules for the delivery teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement of tools and processes
- Maintaining quality and accuracy of maintenance planning documentation
You will have proven experience in a similar planning role within the Defence industry delivering multiple, high priority assignments within tight timeframes. Your written and verbal communication skills will be second to none and your interpersonal skills will see you develop effective working relationships at various levels within the business.
It is essential for you to have a Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical, with sound knowledge in the use of AMPS planning system or equivalent Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Higher tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Project Management and understanding of Naval engineering practices are desirable.
