Serco Immigration & Facility Services (IFS) is seeking an HR Advisor with an excellent record of achievement to join our National HR Team, supporting Serco operations on the East coast from our Villawood offices.

Reporting to the Regional HR Manager, you will provide HR generalist support to our regional operations management and staff regarding HR process management, on boarding, engagement and retention.

The successful candidate will be accustomed to working in a fast paced environment combined with a philosophy of continuous improvement, resilience and a can-do attitude to support and improve existing HR procedures in line with ongoing employment legislation and contractual obligations.


This key position will be responsible for:


  • Supporting new starters and assisting management with on boarding 
  • Process management of People & the Shared Service Centre
  • Coordination of engagement activities through recognition programs and communication support
  • Administration & reporting (compliance/safety/personal development plans)


You will possess superior written and verbal communication skills coupled with the proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people managers.  High attention to detail will be imperative as you maintain and manage processes and support HR activities across a range of states and business units.


The successful candidate will have a completed degree in Human Resources with a minimum 2 years experience in a HR Coordinator or Advisor position. You will have an understanding of, and interaction with HR Shared Service functionality with practical HR generalist experience. Understanding of Employee Relations with some experience in performance management and working with Enterprise Agreements.  Medium to high level Excel and HRIS systems (preferably SAP).  This position will be required to travel interstate on an adhoc basis.

The successful applicant must be able to maintain a current Australian Federal Police Clearance.
