It is with mixed feelings that we sit on the Board of a Homeless Shelter for ex-Defence members in Brisbane. I’m saddened that people with such great skills and abilities are living on the streets of our great nation, but happy that we’re involved in doing something about it, to make a small difference. We are also delighted to announce we have been selected by Army to be part of a trial for providing enhanced career transition services to members being medically discharged. This is long overdue and we are excited to have the boundaries imposed by Defence lifted slightly, in order to help members through this difficult time. This means greater assistance is available for those being medically discharged for the member and also assistance for their spouse.
I am personally very excited to have Trans-Civ recognised by Army for its quality service to transitioning members and to also be a part of what will be a greater level of assistance to those members whose career has been taken from them.
