Not every person who enters and leaves the military is fantastic. We all know that, and so do employers. Our experience is that approx 75% of employers love the qualities that a military background brings. Conversely, that leaves 25% who thin otherwise. Their reasoning behind why they may baulk at employing someone with a military background may be wide and varied, be it from the way the media portrays Defence personnel, TV shows, movies or they might just have had a previously bad experience trying to integrate someone with a Defence background...

Customer Feedback
Thanks to Trans-Civ and in particular to Ross Perriman, I am now the HR Manager at the National Film & Sound Archive of Australia. Trans-Civ supported me in my delivery of a professional CV, provided me with the tools to highlight to my new employer my achievements, skills, strengths and goals. Prior to attending Trans-CIiv I had little or no interview skills. Although I could easily provide HR management advice to staff, reference legislation and interpret Enterprise Agreements, I could not hold myself together in an interview, the nerves took over. Ross however took me on board and taught me the strategies to enable me to answer every question at interview, regardless of the complexity or type of question. The first question at interview floored me, however when utilising the strategies Ross provided, I was able to succinctly answer the question. With this confidence I managed to excel through the interview process and won the job. I can't thank Trans-Civ enough and the expert advise provided by Ross, his coaching methods were outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to other APS agencies.
