All Directors of TRANS-CIV are ex-military and as such have an excellent understanding of what is involved in the complete transition process. Observations made by us and our immediate network showed there were many companies out there proclaiming to assist Defence personnel in their transition, however none have shown to be totally committed to the cause, hence the establishment of TRANS-CIV Personnel Management. Our dedicated staff offer comprehensive support to compliment the transition process to a new career and specialise in complimenting Transition Assistance Schemes provided by the forces.
We can help you work with your local Resettlement Officer to ensure you maximise the best use of what Defence offers to its departing members. Please note our service is designed to be such that there are no out of pocket expenses to military personnel. Whilst this isn't always the case, it is our aim.

ADF Career Transition Management Service
TRANS-CIV Personnel Management provides all Defence personnel with a wide range of services to assist in the transition from the ADF into civilian life, anywhere in Australia. Our services cover a range of aspects to ensure each member is provided the best opportunity to transfer their skills, security clearance and personal network across to their next career.
Our direct access to over 200 reputable, solid companies that deal extensively with the ADF, means your seamless transition will be that much smoother for the important transition to civilian life for both you and your family.
An unrealised benefit of our service is a significant reduction in the costly delays ex-ADF people experience when exiting the forces without proper assistance.
Specifically we offer:
Development of a professional CV
This service provides each member with a winning CV that has been widely accepted as the “standard” by our partnering companies. It involves an interaction that prompts and probes for information to provide the winning solution to build the best possible CV. Our expert Account Managers will develop the end product to such meticulous standard that it will provide the member with a fantastic opportunity of securing an interview in their chosen field of work.
Preparation and Presentation for Interview
This service combines the comprehensive information and knowledge we have gathered about the potential new employer, with proven techniques for answering and asking questions and presentation tips at interviews.
Our highly competent staff will assist each member with the simple things that people seem to overlook at such an important stage of their careers. Things such as key questions to ask the employer, responses to the most likely questions to be asked, selecting a suitable route to travel for the time of the day, allowing sufficient travel time, key words to use and avoid using, etc.
It is pointless to continue to gain
interviews, only to lose the opportunity with a lack of
understanding of what and how you should answer questions.
We provide you that winning edge.
Job Search Strategies
Using today's technology and advertising
market trends, we provide information on best practice
strategies to gain civilian employment as quickly as
possible.
Time wasted finding the right strategy
can be the difference in winning or missing the right job at
the earliest opportunity. Suitable jobs become available at
irregular intervals, therefore opportunities missed in the
early stages could become increasingly more significant
between careers.
Our services also extend to conducting
job search on behalf of members, including using our network
of over 200 client companies who deal extensively with
Defence, most of whom have a multi-national presence.
Training Information
We have constant up to date access to the
latest training offered by many industries around Australia
and understand what are the basic, mandatory and desired
qualifications needed to be competitive in most fields of
employment.
As an independent source of information on training establishments, we offer only best practice solutions, coupled with value for money training that will benefit the member.
Transferable Skills and Employment Options
This is the area that separates us from the rest of the market, as we understand and empathise with each and every member, whether they are moving on after three years, over 20 years or due to medical circumstances, we can help.
We emphasise the importance of being competitive in the chosen field of employment, by identifying current transferable skills (formal/ informal, experience and gained knowledge), along with any interests/hobbies which may have been accumulated.
Our highly trained team is honest and down-to-earth with each member in advising the skill sets required, to be competitive in the field of their preferred industry as well as the salary range they seek. This is a sensitive area where our people excel, as Defence members either sell themselves too short, or expect too much salary and lack minimum qualifications.
Other Information
To ensure there is little time wasted on searching for information needed to make suitably informed decisions, we provide assistance with information on a range of agencies who supply services for:
Superannuation;
Accountancy;
Legal Services;
Relocation Services;
Banking;
Home Loans;
Private Health Cover; and
Training.
One of our initial aims is to ensure each member uses their local Defence Resettlement Officer and associated available services to the fullest extent, prior to engaging our services.
