The RSL helps younger Servicemen and Women

The RSL is not just a place for old veterans to drink cheap booze and play the pokies. The RSL today is working very hard in a number of ways to provide greater support to current serving Defence members and those with recent military service.

They recognise that translating your military history into a language easily understood by all employers is a talent that only time outside Defence and understanding the employer's perspective can give you. That's why they are providing funding to assist those of you with a Defence background  who require a CV and in providing comprehensive interview training.

This service is specifically designed to help those Defence or ex-Defence members who haven't completed the required 12 years to access this funding through Defence CTAS, or who decided to take the training entitlement rather than the coaching option, or for those who never knew these entitlements existed.

The initiative started by the CEO of the Victorian RSL last year has now been approved to extend nationally.
At our recent Defence Industry Career Expo, Chris Perrin, (CEO NSW RSL) confirmed the service provided by Trans-Civ in developing CVs and delivering comprehensive interview and job application assistance to people separating from the Australian Defence Force will apply in all states of Australia.  This means funding is now available to Trans-Civ to help you further if you have:

• Submitted your discharge to the ADF and don't have access to either CV Coaching and/or CTMC entitlements;
• Separated from the ADF and need assistance in securing suitable employment.

Trans-Civ are proud to be chosen as the national partner of the RSL in this important joint venture to support Australian Servicemen and women in securing satisfying and meaningful post-separation employment.
